Funding Kansas City We sincerely thank our "Funding Kansas City" panelists: Bob Marcusse, president and CEO of he Kansas City Area Development Council, Mark Thoma-Perry, the interim budget officer of the city of Kansas City, Missouri, and David Warm, executive director of the Mid-America Regional Council for sharing their insights regarding how our region funds key services and infrastructure. And, many thanks to Hallmark for hosting the February program. KCT Alumni were afforded a unique opportunity to learn more about the funding challenges facing our region.
Honoring Tom Hoenig, 2010 Recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award
Tom Hoenig, president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City was selected as the 2010 recipient of the KCTAA Distinguished Alumni Award. An event to honor Mr. Hoenig was held at the Federal Reserve on Tuesday, January 19, 2010.

Alumni in the News
JAN KAUK, KCT Board Member and member of Class XXI, was named the 2009 Northlander of the Year at the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet in January. In addition to serving on our board, Jan is a board member of the North Kansas City Schools and the executive director of the Northland Community Foundation.
The Northlander of the Year award is given by the chamber annually to recognize one individual for making an outstanding contribution to the betterment of the community. Past award recipients include Anita Gorman, Dr. Don Breckon, Charles Garney, Jay Dillingham, Howard Breen, Bill Grigsby, Ray Brock and Tammy Henderson.
FRED TROMANS has joined the board of Cristo Rey High School.
