Class Updates

Class VI
Bob Mayer continues to run a real estate consulting practice, M R Capital Advisors, which in these economic times is challenging. Fortunate to have some significant re-development projects working on like the Chatham Hotel on Broadway, which will become affordable housing for elderly. Also the Pickwick Plaza Hotel, which will transform in downtown KC to historic and affordable housing. No retirement in future, as plenty of activity, including being the Executive in Residence and Adjunct Professor in School of Business at Park University. Bob and Sandy( year 10) enjoy traveling to Florida, when they can get away.

Mike Delaney has been practicing law at Spencer Fane Britt & Browne, LLP in Kansas City and Overland Park for more than 34 years.  Mike is a partner and practice group chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Law Group.  Mike is a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America and was recently named to the 2010 Human Resource Executive Magazine "Nation's Most Powerful Employment Lawyers - Top Ten for Labor Law."

Class XI
For the past 20 years Leon Langlitz hasbeen working at Lewis & Ellis, Inc., Actuaries & Consultants in Overland Park. Langlitz is currently Vice President & Principal. Langlitz has been involved in a number of committees for my alma maters, church and professional organization. Also, he's served as President of the Alumni Association for Simpson College and have been on the Advisory Board to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University of Iowa.  Currently he's serving as Chairperson of my church’s Foundation Board of Trustees.  Finally Langlitz has been serving on  a number of committees for the Society of Actuaries.

Buzz Willard is currently the President/CEO of Tower Properties. His outside board service includes the Saint Luke’s Hospital Board, the Commerce Bank of Kansas City Board, the Downtown Council Executive Committee and he has recently been elected as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of William Jewell College.
