The Kansas City Tomorrow Alumni Association is an offshoot of Kansas City Tomorrow, a leadership development program sponsored by the Civic Council of Kansas City. It is open only to those who have completed the Kansas City Tomorrow program.

Funding Kansas City
On February 2, 2010 KCTAA members and guests met at the Hallmark Visitor's Center for networking and discussion on the topic of "Funding Kansas City."

Money is needed for development, city services, parks, infrastructure. Everyone wants it and there is not nearly enough to go around. Three of Kansas City's financial and opinion leaders, shared where the money comes from, how it's spent and the challenges it poses for the city, the region, and for our ability to attract new businesses.

Alumni in the News

Tom Bloch, Year I, was the principle speaker at UMKC’s School of Education graduation on May 9. He was selected by Linda Edwards, dean of the school, after getting suggestions from staff, students and faculty. Edwards said that Bloch, the former CEO of H&R Block who became a schoolteacher, has been a longtime friend of UMKC and of urban education.

Bill Craig, Ph.D., Year X, was elected chairman of the board of Bridging The Gap (BTG) at its March 2009 meeting. BTG is the leading volunteer-based environmental organization in the heart of America and works with approximately 2,600 volunteers each year in a dozen different programs to make our region and community green, strong and sustainable.
