But it’s not too late to get your tickets to join KCTAA at the Lyric Opera. Celebrate the Lyric’s 50th Anniversary by attending the world premiere performance of Kirke Mechem’s “John Brown” on Friday, May 9, in the Lyric Theater. Set in Lawrence, Kansas, this opera follows the story of controversial abolitionist John Brown and his role in history.
KCTAA alums and guests receive a 20% discount off the regular price by attending as part of our group. Tickets cost $45.60 per person, $91.20 per couple. In addition to tickets to the opera, you will enjoy a complementary reception at 7 p.m. with a short preview of the opera by a Lyric docent. You’ll also receive a background booklet.
